From 2019 to 2020, I contributed to the development of interactive installations at the recently opened Al Dhaid Sharjah Desert Museum. These installations aim to showcase the rich culture and environment of the Sharjah Emirate.
As the creative lead, I oversaw the entire process, from conceptualization to execution and setup of these installations, which were made accessible to the public in February 2021.
The museum’s facilities exemplify the fusion of technology and innovation within the cultural sphere, with a particular emphasis on captivating the interest of younger visitors. It serves as a tangible testament to the benefits of incorporating play-based learning experiences.
Using motion sensors and mapping technology upon several camel sculptures, museum visitors can explore and learn about various aspects of the animals, including their anatomy, internal organ functions, and adaptations for desert survival.
